Children's Hospital Colorado Courage Classic 2011
99.5 The Mountain and over 6,000 cyclists, friends and family invaded Copper Mountain July 23-25, 2011 for the 22nd annual Courage Classic benefiting Children's Hospital Colorado. This three day journey began and ended in Leadville with picturesque views throughout the route to motivate the riders on their 157 mile journey through Summit County, including three Rocky Mountain passes. Copper Mountain was the place to be for food, rest, vendors and live music including local Denver band Opie Gone Bad. The race ended Monday with Team Courage, comprised of doctors and patients of Children's Hospital Colorado, triumphantly riding across the finish line together.
