As Hartwick so eloquently put it, glitter is the herpes of the craft world - it gets everywhere, and it never goes away. Now, scientists are speaking out against glitter, and some are even suggesting a ban on the sparkly stuff. Good riddance.

Fan voting to determine the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2018 ended on Tuesday night. Bon Jovi came in at number one 1.2-million votes. The Moody Blues finished a strong second with just under a million votes, followed by Dire Straits, The Cars and Judas Priest. Those 5 artists, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2018 inductees, who will be announced next Wednesday.

The Today show is enjoying it's newly found place at number one. Until this week, Good Morning America has been the number-one morning show since the summer of 2012, when the Today show fired Ann Curry. The five days since Matt Lauer was fired have seen a big ratings spike for NBC and Today.

Twitter has released its list of the 10 most retweeted tweets of 2017, and President Trump did not make the list. Former president Barack Obama ended up with three in the top 10, but the most retweeted tweet of the year belonged not to a politician but to Carter Wilkerson, a teenager who just wanted free chicken nuggets.
