Welcome to the Periodic Table of Rock
altText
Periodic Table
A table in which the chemical elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic number. Elements with similar properties are arranged in the same column (called a group), and elements with the same number of electron shells are arranged in the same row (called a period).

Periodic Table of Rock
An edition of The List on which the five rockin' tunes are arranged by increasing numbers of beats per minute. Oh, and they each have an element in the title.

-Iron Man-Black Sabbath
-Silver, Blue and Gold-Bad Company
-Power of Gold-Dan Fogelberg
-Love is Like Oxygen-Sweet
-Somebody to Love-Queen (Freddie Mercury)...get it!

Hey, I'm trying here. Enjoy the audio overview of The List.

Rock's most underrated intros!
I have selected my 5 choices for "the most underrated" intros in rock today on The List. There is one tune that sits firmly at number one due to it's inventive use of crazy rock star screaming. The others are equally as astounding for subtler reasons.

Eminence Front-The Who-The rhythm section of John Entwistle and Kenny Jones make this songs one of the catchiest tunes to air drum to...I've got it down

Runnin' with the Devil-Van Halen-Big, fat American car horns for the intro...now that's thinkin outside the rock and roll box. VH1 named the tune the 9th best hard rock song ever.

Time-Pink Floyd-Clocks from an antique clock shop and Nick Mason on the rototoms create an expansive wall of Floyd sound. It was Alan Parsons idea (album engineer) to use the antique clocks. The soung started as an experiment in quadrophonic sound.

Are You Going My Way-Lenny Kravitz-Listen to Lenny play that guitar!

Meadows-Joe Walsh-The scream wins!
