Rocks Greatest Trios

Today on "The List"-I featured Rock's Greatest Trios.  Only 5 made the cut and I feel fairly confident the best 5 populate this list of mine today.  So here you go

5-The Police-When I think of  The Police as players...precision comes to mind.  They kick off The List today.

4-Rush-Perhaps rocks best drummer in Neil Peart and underrated players in Geddy on bass and Alex on guitar.  Put em together and you've got some power coming at us from north of the border

3-ZZ Top-Texas blues with a rock edge...and world class beards!

2-The Jimi Hendrix Experience-All 3 members are now interesting contrast between The Experience and their contemporaries below.  The final gig for the band by the way was here in Denver in 1969 at the Mile Hi Pop Festival.

1-Cream-Clapton easily puts them over the top.  And that's not discounting the Bass and Vocals of Jack Bruce and Ginger Bakers powerful drumming.

Insert your thoughts below...thanks!

Always liked Gov't Mule but they never got much airplay. Police top the list for me though... always entertaining to hear the list on my way back from work.

Not sure why ELP was not a part of it,although progressive and probably too mellow for today's standards, still they are a mighty band that can compete with the best of them!
