Join us for the 8th Annual Turkey Chase 5K Family Fun Run on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2014 at 9:00 AM! This event is an awesome opportunity to burn some calories before the big feast, spend some quality time with friends and family and, above all, support those in need!  

Proceeds from the Turkey Chase will benefit the Denver Rescue Mission programs in the greater Denver Metro Area and Northern Colorado. The Mission helps men, women, and children get back on their feet, grow spiritually, heal emotionally and become self-sufficient, productive members of our community. By running in this race you'll offer hope to those who need it most this Thanksgiving! Register Today!

With the foothills as a stunning backdrop, more than one million twinkling lights illuminate a winding path through the Colorado countryside. Spread throughout Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, Trail of Lights offers visitors a choice of paths; a shorter route takes visitors directly to the children’s play area, while an extended path allows visitors to explore the Green Farm Barn and silo before continuing onto the children’s area and 1880s homestead.

Seasonal entertainment will be available on select evenings. The Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory will be closed during Blossoms of Light. The Orangery and Marnie's Pavilion will be open.

The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis raises awareness of arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. The event provides funds for research, health education, programs, and government advocacy to improve the lives of people with arthritis.  In the United States, 53 million people suffer with arthritis including 300,000 children.
 
The 23rd Annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a Denver Holiday Tradition. Jingle bells are provided for participants to tie to their shoelaces and a holiday themed costume contest brings out the Santa and Mrs. Claus in all of us! Dogs in costume are also welcome. There is a kid’s fun run, and a “Snowman Scramble” where the kids chase Frosty for fun prizes. The event’s top racers and best costumes will medals or prizes.
